Anti Virus Protection for Your Computer
I just ran my anti virus weekly scan, which was about 2 months over due, and found over 2500 infections, all of them the Jennifer virus, which deals with the emails and the likes. See, usually the virus scan runs at 8:00 on Friday nights, but now I am working during that time, so I just normally stop it. Bad idea. I kind of thought the virus scan would be picking up this junk through the daily scans of items. Maybe these were on there already, who knows. But I managed to delete all of them. So now I am virus clean.
I also ran the spyware remover immediately after, and found 5 files, and then ran the registry optimizer, and fixed 2 problems. So now The computer is up to date, and is running much faster and quicker.
See, even we get lazy at times and take for granted these things. Can you imagine what goes on if you do not run any of this software. I personally know a lady who took her computer to Best Buy, and they charged her over $300 just to remove spyware. Talk about a rip off. But she does not know any better, and did not ask me. I sort of feel insulted. But this is also the same lady that came to me, and asked me for an opinion on a laptop. I gave her the one to buy, through TigerDirect.com, for about $700-$800, new. This was 2 years ago. She took my advice, and went right to Best Buy, and was suckered into a fancy laptop, with a widescreen, and a bunch of stuff she did not need. And she spent twice as much as the one I recommended. So, you can take the horse to the water, but you can not make that !@#$! horse drink.
Just remember to keep the computer updated.
