Get a Mac or PC?
Here is an interesting debate in my house. Should we get a MAC or a PC next? I think my main dilema is 2-fold: Cost and software.
Aside from those 2, I believe both systems are pretty good. I have never had a MAC before, but everyone I know who has switched over says they should have done it sooner. I get more and more on the MAC side everytime my computer locks up on me. Plus, I think it may be nice to not need to reboot the computer on a daily basis, and not have any issues with the viruses and such.
But, all of my software is PC software. I have Macromedia software (MX) and I don’t believe it works on the MAC. I have heard MAC’s are good for design and the likes, but this is html, so not sure if the MAC stuff is that much better than Dreamweaver.
I also have a pocketpc….hmmmmm…..probably won’t work on the MAC.
The other issue is the cost. For a new IMAC is atleast $1299, while I know I can get a Dell with all of the specs the IMAC has for 1/2 the cost. With the MAC, you really pay for the name.
So for right now, I am not sure. I currently have a Sony laptop, which works fine.
