Is Your Squidoo Site Getting All Available Traffic?

You want to make sure your squidoo website is getting all of the available traffic out there. When you initially set up the squidoo website, you get one main keyword, or tag, and then you can pick 3 additional tags. Most people stop here, but don’t. I believe you can tag your site with up to 40 tags.
One way is to conjure up all of the keywords you can think of for your site. Then use these. the other way is wait and see what keywords people use to visit your site. The new stats section of your squidoo site is very good, and user friendly. This area will let you know what words people searched for and found your site. If you presently do not have them set as a tag, then there is a “+” sign next to the keyword. Just click this and the tag is now added to your site.
You may be thinking: Why add a tag when I am already getting traffic? Good question. The tags are mainly for the blogs and pinging sites. These sites will categorize your site, or your post, with the tags it sees. Google and the other SE’s are looking at the overall content of the blog, or the squidoo site. So you really need both.
It only takes a few seconds to do. Just login, view your lenses, then find a lens, and click on the stats. Set the option to traffic and last 30 days. If you have had traffic from a keyword, and you do not have the keyword set as a tag, then click the “+”. Done. Now you should be able to get all available traffic to your squidoo site.
