What Are The Registry Files?

The registry files seem to be the cause of many computer errors today. We are constantly downloading new software, pictures, games, and videos. Then, we turn around and uninstall these new programs. This type of stuff can mess with your registry files. They can remove registry files, or alter the current ones you have. Either of these cases will give you computer errors, such as blue screen of death, computer freezing, or programs locking up. You need to get these errors fixed.
One way is to do it yourself. You can get to the registry files following this guide:
- Go to the “start” button in the lower left hand corner of your computer, click it.
- Go to the “run” button on the right side of the menu that pops up, click it.
- Type in the box “regedit”, and click the “OK” button.
- In the left window pane, you will see 5 folders.
Once here, and you know what you are looking for, then go for it. If you are not sure, then don’t. You see, the registry files are basically the operating instructions for how your computer runs. They tell it how to handle software and how to handle the hardware installed on your computer. If you mess any of these up, then the computer has no idea what to do. And this is the case with the software installs and uninstalls. But, there is an easier way to fix this.
There is a registry repair software program, which will fix these errors for you. I personally use this, and use it on a weekly basis. It keeps my computer free from errors. It takes less than 10 minutes to download and scan your computer for free. This will let you know if you have any errors. If so, let the software fix them for you. Why spend countless hours trying to do this yourself? Just let the software fix it.
