What Types Of Articles Are Best For Marketing?
The best types of articles for marketing are teasing and how-to’s. When I say teasing, these are articles, which just barely give you a taste of what a product is, what a product can do, and you must click on a link to go find out the “….rest of the story”. How To articles are exactly that. These will explain how to do something. People really love those. But there are different ways to use these 2 types of articles.
For a teasing article, this would be used if you are selling a specific product. Lets say I was selling diet clickbank product. I would then write the article with some specifics in the ebook, but not the entire story. I would say that it has proven the diet of low carbs does not work. I would give a fact about the number of overweight people in the US, but never tell exactly why this type of diet does not work. Hopefully you get the curiosity of the customer going, they click your link and they go to find out why low carb diets don’t work. And you better give them their answer (or at least have a product for sale that will give them the answer).
Do not trick them into clicking anything. They will be mad, and will not buy. When they have gone to the search engines, and typed in what they are looking for, they might come across your site. If so, excellent job on the marketing aspect. But, then you must deliver. If I look for why low carb diets don’t work, and I find you, I am now expecting you to give me my information on low carb diets.
The other type of article is a how to article. This will just give you some pointers on how to do something. Here, you can just cover a general topic, but still have a link in the resource box relating to the overall topic.
Sticking with the diet ebook, you could tell them how to work out at home, how to lose 10 pounds, how to eat right, how to shop at a grocery store, etc…… All of these fit the overall theme of dieting and they give the customer the information they wanted. If you have a good resource box at the end of your article, you might even get the customer to then click through and check out your site or your product.
I personally use ezinearticles for all of my article marketing. I have had outstanding results using them, so I am sticking with what works for me. I have also found that both types of articles work well for click throughs. With my stats in ezinearticles, it looks like the CTR (click through rate) is somewhere around 4-5%. This can vary by large amounts depending on how specific the article is, but this is my overall average out of about 125 articles. I believe those are the 2 best types of articles for marketing.
