Garages were at one time a place to protect one’s vehicle from the shelter. Now, it is anyone’s guess. My father has turned his garage into a place to hang out with friends and watch sports. And it is not closed in either. In the winter, he still chooses to watch the games outside, with the garage door open, and the kerosene heater on instead of watching the game indoors. I guess it is just him.

I personally use 1/2 of my garage for the car, and the other half is for storage and sort of like a work shop. I did a de-clutter project over the summer and we filled up 16 big plastic totes so far, and we really are not done yet. But the house looks better, and the garage is much cleaner. We even labeled the totes and wrote the inventory down on an index card.
