How To Research A Niche?
I hear so often “I don’t know what to sell” or “how do I find a good niche” and to me, the answer is pretty obvious: Open your eyes and ears. OK here is the easiest example I can give you.
Sit down and watch a TV show. Realize what the television show is and the demographics of the viewership (who is watching it). The notice the commercials that are being played. There is a reason these commercials are being showed during these shows. They have already done their research and know their targeted audience. So, they show their products to this group of people.
Back to the TV. Just write down every commercial you see for an hour during the TV show. These are the products that are selling. And, if you can narrow down who the viewership is, you then also know the targeted audience.
Now, just find out where this audience us hanging out online. Forums, look for blogs, and websites, and then advertise to them. It really is that simple. I think people get overwhelmed with how large the internet is and the amount of products out there to buy. You are not competing against everyone. Just a select few. If you do your research right, you will come out on top.
