Finally, An Advertising Budget

Maybe this is getting big time, I am not sure. But I am at a point in my business when my accounting needs to be much better. I need to establish an advertising budget to ensure I am not running over. I have a lot going on, so I need to be sure everything is funded.

I am using a figure of 20% of sales are going to advertising. This is just for starters. I will also track each of my advertising avenues to ensure they are paying off. I will use a variety of methods for this, including Google Analytics, click tracking, and separate splash/landing pages. After a month, I should be able to determine the cost per lead and cost per sale and determine which has the best ROI.

All in all, 2008 is setting up to be a banner year, and I am extremely looking forward to it.
