I had a gentlemen at work mention that someone he knew was going to charge the church for a 4 day seminar/work shop. I think the Pastor was OK with this, but then made mention of why the guy was charging. Some verse in the Bible states that God gave you these talents for free, and you should bless others with your talents for free as well.
I said, and I quote: “Huh?”
That was the biggest load of $%^& I had heard in a while. The Pastor, who himself is on a salary, is telling others to work for free. And, that God would put it into people hearts to donate to the guy giving the training. Ummm ….. Yeah, like that is going to happen.
Just charge for your services and be happy about it.
